This course is designed for people interested in writing grants in a wide variety of fields including: community initiatives, state agencies, volunteer work, all levels of education, etc. Basic concepts of grant writing will be covered, including: research funding sources, generating cutting-edge ideas, program and sustainability plans, assessing needs, establishing credibility, evaluation design, dissemination strategies, and formulating a budget.

This course is offered via TELENET 2. TELENET 2 is a Kansas statewide educational video conference network. TELENET 2 links up to 20 sites simultaneously, making it possible for people to electronically attend university courses, seminars, training's, workshops, meetings, etc. There are 21 established TELENET 2 sites in Kansas, and other locations throughout the state, nation, and the world are possible.

TELENET 2 sites: Arkansas City, Chanute, Colby, Concordia, Dodge City, El Dorado, Emporia, Garden City, Great Bend, Hays, Independence, Leavenworth, Liberal, Manhattan, Overland Park, Pittsburg, Pratt, Salina, Sublette, Topeka, and Wichita.
