Kansas State University

Overview

You Are Invited

All colleges and universities, public and private, vocational technical schools, and community colleges in Kansas and surrounding areas are invited to a one-day workshop at Kansas State University on hazardous waste management and compliance.

About the Workshop

K-State will host a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) workshop for post secondary education facilities in Kansas. Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has targeted colleges and universities as lacking in RCRA compliance issues. This workshop will present information to responsible faculty and staff to understand the requirements of RCRA. The workshop will give an overview of RCRA for those responsible at vocational technical colleges, community colleges, private colleges, private universities, public colleges, and public universities. The workshop will inform and help all participants to be in compliance with Federal and State waste regulations, specifically hazardous waste, medical waste, universal waste, and recycling. Find out how to get free compliance assistance. There will be an open forum at the end of the day after the regulators leave, so bring your questions and concerns.

Date/Location

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. All sessions will be in the Auditorium of Fiedler Hall on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas.
