Accommodations
A block of rooms is being held at the Holiday Inn at the Campus, 17th and Anderson Avenue, at a special rate of $89 plus tax (block deadline is January 25, 2008). Rooms will be reserved on a space-available basis only at the special rate. To obtain the special rate, be sure to mention the Scholer-Peterson Concrete Conference when making your reservations directly with the hotel by calling 785-539-7531.
Parking
A $3 conference permit is required to park on the K-State campus weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Permits may be purchased when registering for the conference.
IMPORTANT: In August 2007 construction began on a 1,400-stall parking garage on the south side of the K-State campus. When completed in late 2008, the garage will more than triple the parking capacity at the K-State Student Union. During construction, visitors are required to park in the football stadium east lot on the north end of campus (along Kimball Ave.).
Shuttle buses from the east stadium lot to the northwest side of the Union run approximately every 10 minutes on weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Vehicles must be removed from the lot by 6 p.m. No shuttle service is available on evenings or weekends. During those hours visitor parking is allowed in any non-reserved stall on campus.
Conference participants should allow ample time to get from the east stadium lot to the Union. Please park at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the conference.
