Online Engineering Professional Development Courses Offered in Summer by K-State

Kansas State University's College of Engineering has teamed with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to offer six-week professional development online courses in engineering topics for the summer term.

Summer course sessions will be June 2-July 11 and are offered for one hour of undergraduate college credit through K-State. Many of the courses are approved by Engineering Management Certification International. – Full story

K-State to Offer Online Computer Classes for Summer 2008 Term

Kansas State University is offering online courses in computer science during the summer.

These short courses are introductions to computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases and word processing that are used in most office settings. The courses are also required for some degree programs. – Full story

Kansas State University is offering summer courses for educators in the Manhattan, Salina, Wichita and Overland Park areas, as well as online for the summer 2008 term.

Collaboration on the Home Front: K-State at Salina Signs 2+2 Agreements with Manhattan Area Technical College

Kansas State University currently has more than 40 2+2 agreements with colleges throughout Kansas and other states, with some collaborations taking place right in Manhattan.

K-State signed two 2+2 agreements with Manhattan Area Technical College May 8 on the school's campus. The agreements allow students to obtain an associate of applied science degree from the technical college and then complete a bachelor's degree from K-State through distance education. – Full story

A Kansas State University student from Fort Riley has been featured in a magazine for military spouses.

The April 2008 issue of Military Spouse magazine included a student profile on Leigh Garza, a junior in pre-professional business administration at K-State. The profile also highlighted K-State's educational opportunities for today's military spouses. – Full Story
